    This free concert series is scheduled annually on Thursdays during the spring and fall.
  • Live! Storytelling
    From the local to the international, these sessions celebrate a traditional art. 
  • Bluegrass Music Jam
    Pickers and listeners alike come together on a Thursday once-a-month October through March.
  • Summerland Music Society
    Live chamber music is performed in July and August during this free annual series
  • Colgate Resolutions Live!
    Colgate University's premiere co-ed a cappella group has made the Folklife Center a regular stop on their annual tour.
  • Folklife After Hours
    These online performances are designed to shine a light on talented local musicians.

Learning

  • Shutter Squad
    In this free program for tweens ages 10-13, participants learn photography from professionals and exhibit their work in our gallery.
  • Do Tell: Learning to Perform Personal Stories 
    This free workshop series is led by storytellers/educators Margaret French and Betty Cassidy.
  • Family History One-to-One
    Drop-in service with genealogy expert scheduled once a month in the Research Room.       
  • Kids' Corner
    Concerts, workshops, and other presentations are made to order for the new generation.

    Annual talks by presenters with new books, films and research on topics of regional interest.
  • Illustrated Talks
    Presentations on a variety of topics support exhibitions in our Folklife Gallery.
