The Library Board of Trustees is proud to present this year’s Henry & Betsey Crandall Award to Dr. John and Pat Schutze who have brought smiles not only to our patrons through their support of our programs and services, but also to many community organizations through their guidance, knowledge, and philanthropy: the Boy Scouts of America, the Lake George Opera Festival, the Glens Falls Chamber of Commerce, the Tri-County United Way, the Glens Falls YMCA, the Queensbury Business Association, the Glens Falls Rotary Club, the Glens Falls Hospital Foundation, the Open Door’s Building Campaign, the Glens Falls Board of Governors, the Hyde Collection Museum, and, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Like Betsey and Henry Crandall, the Schutze story is a testament to the power of sharing; living a full life and giving of themselves to their community.
