Support the Library - Ways to Give
With nearly 500,000 on-site visits and more than 800,000 items circulated annually, Crandall Public Library is a tremendous resource for this community. Public funding (74% of the annual budget) enables Crandall to be a good Library; the private donations of a generous, dedicated community make Crandall exceptional. Keep Crandall Public Library exceptional with your gift today.
Donors are recognized in the Annual Report and on the Digital Donor Wall (unless anonymity is requested). Donations may be made online, by phone or mail, or in person. We accept MasterCard, Visa, checks payable to Crandall Public Library, or cash. Contributions to Crandall Public Library, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Public funds alone do not provide for the many programs and services our constituents require. Your donation, whatever the amount, helps us to meet the informational, educational, cultural, and entertainment needs of the community. You may designate your contribution for a specific service area or program if you so choose. Special recognition is available for gifts of $5,000 and above.
Memorial and Honorary Gifts - Consider making a donation in honor or memory of a friend or loved one. We will inform the individual or family of your thoughtful gesture and include the honorary/memorial information in the donor recognition.
Your Buy-a-Book donation (ranging from $20 to $1,500+) purchases new books for the Library in your name or in memory/honor of someone you choose. A permanent book plate with the donor or designee’s name is placed inside the front cover of the book(s).
Through an annual financial commitment, Business Partners take an active role in ensuring residents have access to free information, education, culture, and entertainment. For a full year, participating businesses receive valuable benefits (including specific program sponsorship) that provide exposure to an engaged Library audience. Partner levels range from $500 to $5,000.
At least twice per year Crandall Public Library raises needed funds through special events. Typically, the Love Your Library Raffle is held in the spring, and the gala & Henry Crandall Award in the fall. As these fundraisers approach, information is made available on the home page of the web site. Email announcements are also sent well in advance, so be sure to register for our email list.
Designating CPL as a beneficiary in your will ensures an exceptional Library for future generations. Bequests (and other forms of planned gifts) have an enduring impact on Library programs and services and provide for long-term growth. Feel free to contact the CPL development office to discuss your options.
Many corporations will match contributions made to non-profit organizations by current or retired employees. Call your human resources department to find if and how they will match your gift to CPL.
