Support the Library - Opportunities for Giving
Crandall Public Library (CPL) has always been a busy Library, a vital resource for the Glens Falls Region. Now, with the opening of the renovated building, there is an unprecedented demand for services and programs leading to increases in attendance, circulation, and new borrowers that have far surpassed expectations. Free access remains a top priority as CPL strives to meet the growing informational, educational, cultural, and entertainment needs of the community. Public funding (nearly 74% of the annual budget) enables Crandall to be a good Library; the private donations of a generous, dedicated community make Crandall exceptional. Donations to the Library’s Annual Fund support new and enhanced programs and services that connect, inform, and nurture this community. Keep Crandall Public Library exceptional with your gift today.
Contributions to Crandall Public Library, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Book Plate
Your $25 Book Plate donation helps to expand the Library’s book collection. A permanent book plate in your name or in memory or honor of someone you choose is placed inside the front cover of a Library book.
Artwork Tile
For a $250 donation, your child’s artwork can be permanently displayed in the Activity Room of the Charles R. Wood Children’s Library. The art is reproduced in full color on a 6”x8” ceramic tile and installed as part of a decorative tile wall.
Annual Fund Donation
Your CPL Annual Fund contribution enables us to meet the informational, educational, cultural, and entertainment needs of the community. Public funds alone do not provide for the many programs and services our constituents require. Your donations enable us remain a free resource and community hub. Annual appeal donors are listed in the Library’s Annual Report.
Memorial and Honorary Gifts
Consider making an annual appeal gift in honor or memory of a friend or loved one. We will inform the individual or family of your thoughtful gesture and include the honorary/memorial information in the Annual Report listing.
Gifts of stocks and other appreciated securities are welcome and often provide a tax advantage to the donor. Call the development office for details.
Program Sponsorship
Open to individuals and businesses, program sponsorship allows the donor to designate funds for a specific program or set of programs while demonstrating a commitment to community. Sponsors are highlighted in a variety of ways depending upon level of support.
Charitable Bequests
Designating Crandall Public Library as a beneficiary in your will ensures an exceptional Library for future generations. Bequests and other forms of planned gifts have an enduring impact on Library programs and services and provide for long-term growth. Contact the Library development office at 518-792-6508, ext. 284 to discuss your options or let us know you have included CPL in your estate plans.
Matching Gifts
Many corporations will match contributions made to non-profit organizations by current or retired employees. Call your human resources department to find if and how they will match your gift to CPL.
