Find Books and More - Newspapers
The Library subscribes to a variety of local and national newspapers. Back issues of newspapers are kept for 2 months.
- The Post Star is available on microfilm beginning with July 1909
- The Chronicle is available on microfilm beginning with October 1981
- The New York Times is available on microfilm from January 2005-December 2008 and online from 1851-2005.
The Library has several other historical newspapers on microfilm dating from the mid 19th century. Coverage is primarily for the Glens Falls area and many of the holdings are incomplete. Please contact the Reference Desk for more information.
The microfilm readers are located near the park entrance. Printing is available for 10¢ per page via our wireless printing system or you may download to a flash drive.
The Reference staff is available to help patrons use the microfilm readers; please ask at the Park Desk if you need assistance.
